Commissioned for the Auberge Collection at Chileno Bay, we collaborated with Sloane Company to deliver a centerpiece that resonated with the property's connection to the sea. The client selected our 'Satine' model specifically for its architectural silhouette, which mimics the suspended hull of a ship—a fitting visual metaphor for a villa overlooking the Cabo coastline.
The material specification demanded an exacting level of integration with the interior architecture. We utilized a control sample of the villa's Monarch Plank flooring to develop a custom Oak finish, achieving a seamless tonal match with the surrounding joinery. Beyond aesthetics, we engineered the timber chassis to withstand the specific humidity levels of the Baja California climate, ensuring long-term structural stability.
The installation presented a significant logistical challenge due to the table's professional-grade specification. Unlike standard split-slate tables, this piece utilizes a monolithic one-piece slate bed for superior playability. Maneuvering this massive component required a synchronized six-person installation team to navigate the resort environment, ensuring the "floating" hull was leveled to precision within the luxury coastal setting.
