Custom Lucite Pool Table at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences
Located within the prestigious Chileno Bay Resort, we collaborated with interior designer Talbot Cooley to manufacture a gaming table that would adhere to the property's rigorous aesthetic of serene whites and coastal blues. The project required a piece that offered professional playability while maintaining complete visual transparency to preserve the villa’s open sightlines.
We engineered the Arock model entirely from high-clarity cast Lucite. Unlike standard tables that use wood veneers, we machined the legs, rails, and structural frame from solid acrylic blocks. This fabrication method creates a dense, heavy table that paradoxically appears weightless within the room. We exposed the mechanical elements, integrating polished stainless steel ball return gulley systems to celebrate the table's function rather than hide it.
To finalize the integration with the Auberge palette, we fitted the slate bed with Simonis Tournament Blue worsted wool. The result is a precision instrument that harmonizes with the ocean backdrop, functioning as a "floating" volume that bridges the gap between the villa’s interior architecture and the surrounding seascape.
