Situated within a modern residence in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, the brief required a design that honored the home’s existing palette of light maple joinery and cool blue tones. We collaborated closely with the client to develop a piece centered on reductive materiality and seamless integration.
We paired native light maple rails with architectural-grade stainless steel legs, creating a silhouette that mirrors the home's contemporary furnishings. To maintain the visual quietness of the space, we specified a custom light grey worsted wool cloth, allowing the object to recede into the room’s design rather than dominate it.
The project’s successful fusion of craft and context was recognized when the piece was selected for display at the Architectural Home Show. The installation was executed by our local Minnesota specialist team, ensuring the technical setup matched the precision of the fabrication.
